A Few of My Favorite Things V2

1.  Free Helpful Resources:

When HealingStrong first began to support local groups, we knew our Group Leaders would want structure and a curriculum that hit the high points of healing, with resources and links.  We also wanted the participants to be able to follow along with the curriculum and have a guide that is helpful and no cost to them. We recently went through a complete edit of our Participant Guide and if you haven’t downloaded this guide recently, please do.  It’s free, shareable, and the content is so helpful for anyone facing cancer or wanting to prevent it. 150+ Page Holistic Guide for FREE

2.  Groups Gathering with Gratitude:

Stacy Loftis from our Memphis, TN group met with her group for a “Gratitude Gathering” where they made recipes out of our Particpant Guide and Chris Wark’s cookbook. They fellowshipped and filled their hearts and bellies with pure goodness. Our groups are so unique, and led by incredible people who want to meet in community every month to encourage, educate and support their group participants.  Are you connected to a group?  Would you like to be? Like Stacy’s group, below are just a few of our local HealingStrong Group Leaders who are hope-givers in their communities.

3. The BIG Picture of Healing:
Over the years, I have been so encouraged in my own faith walk to believe that healing is always possible. Reading stories or testimonies and listening to our I Am HealingStrong Podcast has also fueled my faith and belief. For anyone facing an advanced cancer diagnosis, been given a poor prognosis, or just facing a health hiccup with fear or trepidation….remember that what may be spoken regarding what you are facing is never the final word. With God, there is always HOPE. Please listen to our most recent episode with Dr. Francisco Contreras as he encourages you to see the GOOD in the cancer journey, as hope rises up. Listen to this most recent episode.

4. Mission-Centered Corporate Partners:
Along with our volunteer Group Leaders, each year, we link arms with an incredible grouping of individuals and corporations who also want to financially support us.  As we continue to grow (this year by 49%), our budget needs grow as well.  I am so grateful for those who partner with us, helping to share our mission with individuals facing cancer and other diseases. What an incredible year it’s been to have their support. Not only do they provide financial resources to HealingStrong, they also give discounts for their services and resources.

5.  Finishing the Year Strong – Platinuum Status with GuideStar:
Since starting HealingStrong in 2013, we have always tried to stay ahead of our budgetary needs and maintain a level of fiduciary transparency and responsibility. This year, we have been recognized by GuideStar with top Platinum status. It is the largest source of information on US Non-profits. With each contribution, we are changing the way people look at cancer by empowering folks to face their journeys with faith, knowledge, and community support. Will you join us this year with a tax-deductible year-end gift.
