Cheryl is the voice behind HealingStrong’s Around the Word podcast, and her passion for God’s Word is as strong as her love for adventure! Her journey with HealingStrong began in an unexpected way—working as a video producer for a non-profit where she teamed up with Jeff Griswold, the husband of HealingStrong’s founder, Suzy Griswold. This partnership led Cheryl to volunteer at the very first HealingStrong conference, helping with video production. Fast forward to 2018, Cheryl expanded her volunteer role by creating Bible Plans for the YouVersion Bible app, with her favorite being Trusting God’s Plan in the Waiting: Lessons from the Life of Joseph. https://www.bible.com/
When she’s not inspiring others with her voice as a professional voiceover talent (yes, she’s narrated everything from commercials to videos for clients worldwide!), Cheryl volunteers her time to hosting the Around the Word podcast. It’s her way of combining her love for Scripture and her desire to get others excited about it.
When she’s not deep in study or behind the mic, you’ll find her on a quest for hidden treasure, metal detecting at old properties and uncovering little pieces of history. Whether it’s unearthing wisdom from the Bible or unearthing treasure from the earth, Cheryl’s enthusiasm for discovering something meaningful is infectious!
