Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:17-19
I have to tell you. I have been very anxious lately about what is going on in the world. I wrote a post earlier this summer about the what I am fighting for, and continue to reference it today.
With the rise of protests, it is easy to become side-swiped and distracted. The best thing we can do is to turn to the Word of God and keep our focus on Him through prayer, encouragement and faith.
HealingStrong is about helping people to heal and stay strong – body, soul and spirit. We are on a very important trajectory that is putting our health freedoms at risk, including our ability to choose how we will treat ourselves and our family’s health. I truly believe the battle will be won on our knees.
Are we inviting Him into our situations? I read today that the survey group Barna found in 2019 that only 5% of Americans interact with the Bible frequently (defined as it is transforming their relationships and shaping their choices.) The Bible is the very WORD of God. John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:14 – So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
I believe we must know God’s Word, read, study it and allow it to transform us. There is HEALING in the Word of God. The Bible says that He sent out his Word and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction. Psalm 107:20
At HealingStrong, we are learning together! How do we heal – body, soul and spirit?
Here is an important side note: I was reading online today and realized that what I landed on after my search had added extra chapters in the BIBLE. Yes….had I not known the Word enough to pause and wonder why I had never read that particular passage, I would have been deceived into thinking this was part of the Bible. The Bible has a lot to say about adding or taking away from God’s Word. Do you have a hard copy of God’s Word? If you need one, email me….I will help trouble shoot with you a way to get one – cheap or free.
I really believe that the most important thing that we can do is to come together and pray. There is nothing more impactful and effective in our lives than if we bring God into our worries, our decisions, our needs, our future. He promises to hear us!
Since all of this began earlier this year, we opened our Monday morning prayer time to the public and we are seeing the fruit of the prayers. It’s so encouraging. Do you have a prayer request? Email us and we will pray for you! Please join us tomorrow morning.
2 Chronicles 7:14 – if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Right now, our land needs to be healed and I BELIEVE God is able to do immeasurably more than we can ever ask or imagine.
We need to join together in corporate prayer, and studying God’s Word together. It is hope, life and healing. So….here’s an invitation to join me and others to do just that.
