I am so grateful to our HealingStrong community whose desire to support goes beyond a lesson on juicing, where we may gather in a classroom or online webinar, or even our nightly Around the Word in 80 Days readings together…. but rather, our reach goes into our homes, supporting each other, and helping in ways that make a tangible difference.
That’s what HealingStrong is about….coming alongside our families, our community, and doing what we can to ease the load, encourage, support, educate and lift up. We heal in COMMUNITY.
During times like these, we have a tremendous opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus and help others in a way that eases their burdens and supports their continued healing.
We want to do that with a special donation page setup for Hurricane Ian support in Florida. We have active group participants and volunteers in Florida whose homes and businesses were directly impacted. Some homes are still uninhabitable. Our boots on the ground Group Leader: Maike O’Rourke and her husband, Jim, have been in Florida, helping do boat rescues and supporting neighbors, all the while dealing with their own home’s devastation, fire and destruction that Ian has caused.
Will you please go to our page, donate whatever you can, (remembering, no amount is too small) and let’s show some solidarity of support and hope. There is also a place you can leave a written message for our community in Florida.
