Suzy has served in various roles in education and community health for 30 years. In 2009, she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Her personal family losses coupled with extensive research and prayer led her to choose a holistic approach inspired by Dr. Max Gerson. Her vision for HealingStrong started out of a desire to connect to life giving hope and empower patients with healing truths.

Jeff Griswold is married to Suzy and has served HealingStrong since day 1. You will often find him behind the scenes preparing videos or directoring the conferences. Married for 31+ years, he loves all things soccer, and being Dad to their two adult sons. Jeff’s passion is getting the stories of hope into the hands of those who need it most.

Billy developed a passion for natural remedies in treating cancer after he lost his youngest daughter to cancer, following conventional treatment of less than a year. His search for more information and ways to help others suffering with cancer lead him to HealingStrong. Billy’s greatest joy is when people realize cancer does not have to be a death sentence and conventional treatments are not the only option.

After seeing many loved ones suffer and eventually pass away from conventional cancer treatment, Kathy, a certified holistic nutritional counselor began learning more about non-toxic cancer therapies. She now teaches natural health classes and has also created a natural and nontoxic skin and hair care line called Radiant Essentials.

Dean began his journey into a healthy lifestyle when a naturopathic doctor helped him heal a skin issue, lose weight and in turn stirred a passion to learn more and to help others who want to do the same. A friend suggested he start by helping lead a HealingStrong group in his hometown, and the rest is history. Dean has been on an amazing journey and has recently been certified with Dr. Darryl Wolfe, Doc of Detox.

Diagnosed in 2011 with breast cancer, Christine decided against chemotherapy and instead chose to support her immune system with raw foods, supplementation, and detoxification. In 2013, she attended the first HealingStrong Conference and realized then the importance of continuing face to face support. This led her to start the first group in Gainesville, GA.

Emily is also studying to become a Physical Therapy Assistant so she can further her passion of helping others be well.

I learned about HealingStrong while sitting in chemo with my dad and brother-in-law three years ago. There was not a group in VA, and I started the first one here. I have 3 adult children (and one son in law!) and a husband of almost 30 years. I understand the different roles that people coming to the group have because I also deal with chronic autoimmune disease and have had cancer scares. I am a researcher and have been studying nutrition and natural health for over 20 yrs and that’s one of the things I LOVE that HealingStrong is open to everyone who wants to learn!
